Commercial EV Charging Design-Build
One engineering-led team, from load study to live chargers.
EVolvX designs and builds Level 2 and DC fast charging for fleets, properties, and public sites across the lower 48 states. Every project is led by a licensed Professional Engineer under one contract.
PE-Led Engineering on every design • Works with OCPP-compliant hardware • Utility rebate support • Michigan HQ
Everything between “We need Chargers” and “They’re Live”
Most charging projects stall on power, permits, or the utility, and rarely on the chargers themselves. We own all three!
We assess your existing electrical capacity, review your utility service, discuss project goals, and size the system to your vehicles and usage.
Site Assessment & Load Analysis
Electrical and site design led by our licensed PE, with sealed drawings wherever the jurisdiction requires them.
Engineering and Drawings
Permitting
We prepare and submit the permit package and respond to plan review comments to expedite project approval.
We handle the service application, interconnection, and any make-ready or upgrade work with your utility.
Utility Coordination
Procurement
We specify and supply OCPP-compliant chargers and the electrical equipment behind them.
Installation and Commissioning
Trenching, conduit, panels, pedestals, and chargers installed, tested, and inspected.
Stations are connected to the EVolvX Network, or to the network you choose, with pricing and access rules set up.
Network Activation
Handoff To Operations
You receive as-built drawings, warranty documents, and a maintenance plan.
EVolvX provides design-build-operate EV charging projects for our clients. The projects below show the engineering and design-build experience our team brings to that work, delivered through our sister firm Michigan Engineering Group. Roles are noted under each photo.
EV Charging Experience
Public Level 2 charging, West Bloomfield Township, Michigan. Turnkey design-build under direct contract with the Township.
DC fast charging, Pit Stop fuel station, Michigan. Design and engineer of record.
Electric school bus depot, Allen Park Public Schools. Design and engineer of record.
Public Level 2 charging. Canton Township Municipal Complex, Michigan, Design and engineer of record: our engineering team. Constructed by others to our design.
Engineered and managed by EVolvX. Installed by licensed, EVITP-certified electricians near you.
How We Deliver Nationwide
EVolvX engineers and manages every project from our Michigan headquarters. Installation is performed by licensed electrical contractors local to your site, using EVITP-certified electricians on every project, working to our drawings and supervised by an EVolvX project manager who is a licensed electrician. Where sealed drawings are required, they are sealed by an engineer licensed in that state. You sign one contract and have one accountable partner.
Why Engineering-led Matters
The load study and utility application happen before equipment is ordered, so the design fits the power you can get.
Power is Planned First
What is Permitted is what is Built
The team that produces the drawings also manages construction.
Room to Grow
We plan conduit, panel capacity, and load management for the ports you will add later.
Start with a Site Assessment
Next Steps to Electrification: Tell us about your site, how many vehicles you need to charge, or if you want to host a charging stations. We will come back with next steps and a rough order of cost.
Keep Chargers Running
Already Have Chargers

Cost depends on the charger type, the number of ports, the distance from your electrical service to the parking spaces, and whether the utility service needs an upgrade. Electrical and site work are often a large share of the total. Depending on equipment and number of ports projects range from a few thousands dollars to over a million dollars. We provide a rough order of cost after the site assessment and a fixed proposal after engineering.
-
Level 2 projects typically take 1 to 6 weeks from signed proposal to live chargers. DC fast charging takes longer, typically 3 to 6 months, because utility service upgrades and equipment lead times set the schedule. We start the utility application early for that reason.

We offer two paths. The first is OCPP-compliant, 1.6J and 2.0.1, Level 2 and DC fast chargers, which can run on the EVolvX Network or another network you choose, so you are not locked to one provider. The second is Tesla's Supercharger for Business program, where you own Tesla Supercharger equipment at your site and Tesla operates the network or EVolvX owns the chargers and you host a site. We offer design-build for those sites as your agent, and can also own and host a site ourselves. We can also install equipment you have already purchased. EVolvX is an independent company and is not affiliated with Tesla.

Yes. Incentives vary by utility and state and change often, so we identify the programs open to your site during the assessment, build them into the budget, and prepare the applications. We cannot guarantee an award.

You can operate the chargers yourself or have EVolvX monitor and maintain them. See Operations & Maintenance for service plans.
